Yesterday (July 14th) was Noah's 4 month appointment. He weighed 15.4 lbs and was 26 1/4 inches long and is perfect. At the appointment I was reprimanded by the pediatrician about Noah's sleeping schedule. He wakes up every 2 hours to nurse. Dr. G insisted that we try letting him put himself to sleep so that's what we did last night. And? Noah fell asleep while nursing at 10pm. He woke up at 12:30am and I gave him a pacifier - he went right back to sleep and woke up at 5:30am. I nursed him and he went back to sleep until 9:30am! I'm positive that it won't happen again like that tonight, but I got more than 2 consecutive hours of sleep so I'm a happy girl.
Noah's First Time...
First solid food.
Last week I gave Noah his first taste of rice cereal mixed with breast milk. He gagged and refused another bite. But last night I tried again using water instead of the milk and he ate it up! Strange. I'll give the breast milk another try. Maybe he just wasn't quite ready for food yet.
I'm going to start making and freezing food for him soon. That should be interesting.
First time swimming.
Noah loved it. He and Noelle are total water babies.
First fireworks.
He sat in daddy's lap and watched the sky light up on the 4th of July.
First time to the beach.
Noah slept in the stroller the entire time and I forgot to take a picture. :(
Here's what else Noah has been up to:
He naps 3-4 times a day.
He is EBF - although he took one bottle from Grandma this month.

The car seat still isn't his favorite place to be but he tolerates it more. In fact, he usually falls asleep in the car now!
Noah loves to play with toys and always reaches for what I have in my hands, successfully knocking over a couple of drinks.

Thanks to his big sister, Noah had a taste of apple juice. Daddy looked over and saw her put a sippy cup in his mouth. Maybe he looked thirsty.
He likes to play with his toes but just like the rest of us he's not flexible, so they haven't made it to his mouth.

Besides his toes, everything he gets his teeny hands on goes straight in his mouth.
He loves to stand.
And hates tummy time.
He'd rather be sitting in my lap than in one of the swings or baby chairs.

Darling! :) I will be starting cereal soon with my lil man. :)
ReplyDeleteThat last picture of the two of them is so incredibly cute!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nesha! It's funny - I was holding Noelle's elbow saying "Don't hit your brother!" And they thought it was hilarious. Both had the giggles. The more I said it, the more they laughed.
ReplyDeleteSee my hand holding her arm? Crazy kids.
Good luck with the cereal, PfaWaM!
He is SOO cute!!
ReplyDeleteHappy five months, Noah! He is so adorable. I'm glad he started sleeping a bit better. I was going to say, every 2 hours? Poor Mama!

Happy 5 months Noah! He is incredibly cute :) My son is also breastfed (but eats some solids now) and he has to play with my hair or my necklace when he nurses. If he doesn't have either of those he will unlatch. Coincidentally he also has an immense hatred for his car seat haha.
ReplyDeleteLike Kim Bee, I'm also following from Monday Monkey blog hop. Thanks for sharing!

He looks like he is so big! My monster was trying to steal real food when she was 4 months, haha. It was ridiculous because she always tried to grab for our chicken nuggets or pizza.
