Ready or not...

He's mobile. Crawling around like he owns the place and keeping me on my toes. Noah started semi-crawling on Friday, a couple of moves at a time. I figured he would be in a full crawl by the end of the week but he completely surprised us at the beach on Saturday.
We took a quick trip for some family time and right when I put him down in the sand he took off. I don't think he realized that he was getting from point A to point B, he just kept finding a new thing in the sand to go after and did.

It was messy, but fun to watch.

Sister loves the sand and was happy to have a friend to play with in it. Noah has sat in the sand before but never dug in. This time they played together with the buckets and shovels while Mr. G and I sat back and watched our little people. They are so amazing.

Writing her name in the sand.
It was a gorgeous day.

And now he's a pro. I was folding laundry with him by my side and one second he was there, the other, gone. Down the hall headed straight for sister's room. It's going to take some getting used to. When Noelle started crawling I followed her around everywhere and I had spotless floors - with Noah things are different. There are tiny Barbie pieces, trails of hair bows and sometimes the days fly by too quickly for me to remember to vacuum. I spent the better part of the afternoon on Sunday crawling around the house looking for hazards and throwing away dime-sized Princess & Barbie accessories.

Noelle is also adjusting to the change. Brother is quick and he likes to grab for anything she has. Luckily it hasn't been too big of a problem, she loves that someone besides mommy is interested in playing on the ground with her.

Here is Noah in action
Also on Friday, Noah started clapping. I was clapping him on as he attempted to crawl and he sat up on his knees and clapped right back at me. This morning I watched him in the video monitor clapping and giggling.

And he gives high fives.

We have a couple of seriously cool kids.
